The Nemes head-dress is a soft-bodied crown made of cloth (I'm assuming linen?) that is the most common Egyptian crown seen in pop-culture, because of the prominent statuary that is pictured wearing it. But I have only ever seen it pictured in statuary. I've never seen a photo of a cloth replica. I've seen crappy costume ones that are basically just a two-dimensional shape that's been stuffed, but I've been looking specifically for the past week, trying to find any information on how a proper Nemes would have been folded, what shape the cloth would have been to start with and how it was worn in general. Can anybody help me out with that?

I have a notebook with some great notes from Joyce Tyldesley's Nefertiti and I am currently delving into Akhenaten: Egypt's False Prophet. Where else should I be looking to acquaint myself with this period of history?
