I can't imagine that she managed to bring the two most powerful men in the world over to her side if she was ugly, as the coins portray her. Maybe she had a certain charm but that cannot accouhnt for the way she captivated both of them. I've been thinking that she knew how the world looked at her, as a whore as a temptress. Maybe she intentionally had the coins minted this way to make people forget that side of her and have them concentrate on her as the strong ruler she was.
