I'm kind of hoping you mean 'with no disrespect.' I edited it, at any sake. Shame it can't get any bigger, though.
The title is 'The Children of Set,' and no I don't have a date yet because I don't have a Thoth-damned cover picture yet.
At any rate, it's going to come out in England first, and then after a (insert curse here) YEAR, if it's popular enough, it's going to be published worldwide!
Viva le Sutekh! :D

Nope, I meant with no due respect. I apologize, but it is my way of breaking the ice between someone I haven't gotten to know. Please, don't take me too seriously. I try to maintain a formal, yet entertaining lifestyle. ..Some people say I have a dry sense of humor. I'll never understand it.

But, since you're an expert on Seth, and I am always eager to learn more, do you mind sharing some of your wisdom? :)

"Also, his Egyptian name was Sutekh. He was never called Sutesh, but he was called Setesh. And if anyone wants to argue, I am a Set EXPERT"

You've obviously spent many years researching your novel, travelling to Egypt, excavating your own private burial mausoleum complex. . . . but I'll argue anyway! It's fun!

I find it hard to believe that you know for a fact that Seth was never referred to as 'Sutesh.' In order to prove that he was never called this you would have to manually research every single reference to the God in existence. It goes without saying that this is impossible, as I can state with conviction that not all the texts in which Seth is mentioned have been discovered.

His Egyptian name was not merely 'Sutekh' or 'Setesh' anyway. To name but a few alternatives, we could have 'Iyat,' (lit. the painful one) 'Setkheru,' 'Iyasha,' (lit. the roarer) 'Eb' (the hissing serpent form of Seth) 'Setjemseret,' 'Khabalet' or even 'Ur-hekau,' (lit. the one who is great of magic). :P

No, I don't have my own private burial mausoleum complex. I do have membership to every single museum in England and three in Egypt. I even went to an Egyptian college, though my formal education took place in England.

Osiris was depicted as having green skin because of the significance the color green had. The Egyptians had a lot of symbolism, and that didn't stop at color. "Osiris was often shown with green skin to signify his resurrection, and in the 26th dynasty, coffin faces were often painted green to identify the deceased with Osiris and to guarantee rebirth."

The article I read about this can be found here:

This reminds me of the story of the green man or the PSYCHE: the butterfly as a metaphor for reincarnation was one of humanity's earliest spiritual teachings. The Labrys, her face shape, was a many layered symbol of Death and Rebirth in a single object. Tried to find a picture for you but my son and I are going to the store. How old am I?

Just thought it was interesting. ^_^ Me myself, if I had to marry any Egyptian god, I'd pick Osiris.
