The origin of the Egyptians is debatable, but the two likely ones are either Southeast Asia (the Middle East) or Nubia (Africa). I seem to favor an African origin, and there is fairly powerful evidence that suggests the earliest pharaohs came from Lower Nubia.
This bust of Narmer, founder of the first Egyptian dynasty, shows realistic Nubian features. He was an Upper Egyptian, thus it seems more likely that he had Kushite ancestors than Asiatic ones, as did many Lower Egyptian kings (such as the Ramessids).
There is also a strong genetic relationship between the Ancient Nubians and Egyptians, thus substantiating evidence of an African origin.
