opps..downtime*

Hey

Just wanted to give everyone an update of what has been happening for the last 13 days.

I bet the regulars here have noticed this site has been in shambles over the holidays.

What happened was we had a hacker who hacked this message board, it happened on Dec. 24, so my hosting company promptly shut the site down by disabling it. I was not aware of this until after Christmas.

Once I got word of what was happening I quickly tried to contact my hosting company but got no reply. I tried to contact them and call them for 8 days before they finally gave me help. I was angry because they avoided me and they claim to have 24/7 support—boy was I wrong!

Feeling angry with my hosting company, I moved everything to a new server and host. This move took me almost three days to get all the programs situated right in the servers; including this forum, which I thought was never going to get restored. My new hosting company has helped me IMMENSELY and I can’t thank them enough.

With that, I am sorry if we lost some posts or PMs. I tried to restore the forum to its most current settings. Look on the good side, we have a new hosting company who is known for their uptime and great service. That means more uptime, unlike my last host!

You would have thought that even Hackers would hae better things to do on December 24th. Oh well. I like the new look too- but I'm not sure about the black text against the brown background. How about white instead? It's easier to read.

I saw the site was down and imagined what happened.....well, we are still here despite the rest and f... hackers...right?
I wish you all a wonderful 2005...personally I started the best way possible, finding a new job before losing my old one....I've been lucky!
Now I'll have less time to write, but I'll always follow when I'll be able to.

Ok! If you need any other buttons, tell me, and tell me what image you want on em! Oh, and I made that in MSPaint, so if you need the bmp file to work with, I have it for ya. I like MSPaint since it's a lot cleaner than photoshop...and a lot less complicated.
