Well, I liked it, a bit. They kept repeating stuff. It was like:

"Hi. Here we are, to ressurect Nefertiti! We think that this mummy is her. We will then see if it really is, and show you! Here are some totally unrelated things we are going to tell you..."

commercial

"Hi. Here we are, to ressurect Nefertiti! We think that this mummy is her. We will then see if it really is, and show you! Here are some totally unrelated things we are going to tell you..."

Half an hour later...

"and that's her history. Now, Joanne wants to see some stuff..."

commercial

"and that's her history. Now, Joanne wants to see some stuff..."

Fifteen minutes later...

"And, now, the moment of truth. Is the mummy Nefertiti?"

commecial

"And, now, the moment of truth. Is the mummy Nefertiti?"

"Ooo, we seem to have hit some problems..."

Five minutes later...

"Oh, no, our mistake..."

"And, now, the moment of truth. Is the mummy Nefertiti?"

commercial

"And, now, the moment of truth. Is the mummy Nefertiti?"

"We're done with the reanimation! Yep, it's her!"

I was getting sooooooo mad that they kept repeating the stuff they just told us after they played a commercial. It was kinda annoying.

I hardly even noticed any repleating. If you wanted to see someone repeat the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER again and play completely unrelated topics, you should have seen the last "Zahi Hawass Special" when he "opened" Gatenbrinks door. It was rediculus! A 2-hour special on seeing what was behin that door, and everything's about something else until the last 5 minutes!

I saw that. But, when the Nefertiti thing comes back on, see if you can count how many times they repeat things right before the commercials, after, and throughout the show. It's kind of amusing!

The British Discovery Channel will air it on 7th Sept., yes. But I'm not as excited over it as I used to be --- I've heard some crappy critics and even saw a pic of the afro-wig of Amun priests... ugh.

I actually don't think the reconstruction looks all that much like her. Sure they slapped on the blue crown and the jewelry, but in all the statues Nefertiti's features just look so much daintier.

I think we have the British Discovery Channel.
I hope it won't be translated to Hungarian as the programmes used to be here; the translations are usually bad, it can be seen clearly that they haven't been done by me... :)

My other online friend from Hungary always tells me how bad the Hungarian dubbing is. I also know how bad the English dubbing is with Japanese anime. That's why I always switch it to Japanese with English subtitles. Do you think you could request English with Hungarian subtitles from your TV station?

Slovak (or are they Czech, sometimes I'm not sure) translations are okay, fortunately. Anyway, I also think that they computer picture of Nefertiti doesn't look like her.

That was a "Nefer" bead, and Nefer is the heiroglyphic for Beautiful (i.e. NEFERtit, "The Beautiful one has come") They made beads that looked like that heiroglyphic.

Have you heard? The mummy is a boy! My dad read it in the paper. The first thing I thought was: "Oh, my gosh! It's Akhenaten!" But, then, my dad said it was between 16-19 years old. Akhenaten was older than that. But, what about Smenkhkare? He fits, doesn't he?

I've always thought that Smenkhkare was the KV55 mummy though... I've read the article and I still think it's a girl. (There's no real proof for the male theory either). Did the guys wear Nefer beads? I still don't think it's Nefertiti though.

For some reason, I would think a great mystery, such as the whereabouts on Nefertiti's mummy would take more time and work to find. It doesn't make sense to me that this mummy would be her, just because...I think finding Nefertiti is a more difficult puzzle to put together. I feel it's going to take a lot more effort.
