Okay, it's done. I had to draw it, so it took me a while. It doesn't look that great, but oh well. It will give you the idea. I als added the cartouche of AKhenaten, in case you needed it. You can find more at http://www.neferchichi.com Go the pharaohs, and then you can get the one for the Pharaoh you choose.

okay, address is http://www.angelfire.com/journal/egypto ... lk/tut.jpg

Thanks,

In reply to your question, yes Tutankhamun was murdered. There is an excellent book written by Bob Brier called THE MURDER OF TUTANKHAMUN, published by Berkeley Book (New York) in 1999. And of what I do know there is another book out there about the most recent discovery. I glanced on the shelf at Barnes & Nobles and saw this. (I thought to myself, Wow, Oh, My God! Another book I'll have to read!)

I think that the Washington U. of St. Louis, MO. does, but I'm not positive. I know they had two mummies on display there and now they're on loan to the St. Louis Art museum. I don't know if they used them for study in Egyptology classes, though, or if they just had them. But they're really cool.

I know that the Oriental Institite of Chicago does. Their museum has the largest selection of Egyptian artifacts in the USA.

That's all the ones I know of for sure, though.

Looking at this message board I have noticed that there is a lot of discussion about wether Tutankhamon may have been murdered and while I have always favored the theory that he was I have often wondered if other members of his family could have been murdered, what about Meritaten she seems to 'vanish' from the scene around the same time as Smenkhkara, other people we suddenly stop hearing about include the 3 youngest princesses,Neferuaten,Neferura and Setepenra. Although history is full of strange events it still seems a bit farfetched to imagine all of them being murdered another person we stop hearing about who I am very curious about is Baketaten daughter of Tiy and Amenhotep III.A few old books mentioned theories about her marrying Horemheb but we now know with certainty that he married Mutnodjmet, possible sister of Nefertiti.I have seen anything adressing what became of her in any modern books however and I've been studying Ancient Egypt for 4 years!I am currently working on my Junior thesis concerning this and am arguing for murder.

Yes, I have thought that, too. Like Akhenaten. He could have been murdered, I mean, everybody hated him. And Nefertiti. Doesn't she mysteriously dissapear close to the end of Akhenaten's reign, the same time that Smenkhkare showed up? And then the mysterious figure of Neferneferaten. He/She ruled for a very short time, was that person murdered as well?

It's an interesting theory but Tuts family doesn't seem to have been particularly strong. The two feotuses in his tomb and the death of Meketaten in childbirth come to mind. But in light of the fact that Ay killed Tut, and we know it was him, maybe he killed Smenkare aswell.

I must admit I am not a fan that it was Nefertiti who was actually Smenkare. I think I rather adher to the theory that she died. I don't think she retired either. It was obvious that Akhenaten loved her a great deal. She would have to had done something very bad to feel the need to 'retire' as some books say.

On the subject of Baketaten. The only book I have seen that mentions her marrying Horemheb is a book of fiction called 'the Egyptian'. The film was on tv the other day. While vastly different from the book it has Baketen marrying Horemheb on the death of Akhenaten and ascending the throne.
