What is the theories about Hathor having the dominant possition on both upper side of the Narmer palett found in the same dig as the Scorpion macehead in the year 1897-98?

Since Horus is Narmers God would not that be more appropiate to have in such a dominant position?
Anyone have any info about this.

According to my source Early Dynastic Egypt by Toby A.H. Wilkinson pg. 282 it is a figure of the Goddess Bat that is seen on the Narmar Palett. However, Hathor did incorperate Bat later on during Egyptian history. Hathor herself, isn't attested in Early Dynastic Egypt until the the end of the 2nd dynasy and there is no explicit reference to Hathor before the Fourth Dynasty. Bat, is mentioned in the Pyramid Texts Utterance 506. Bat's cult centre in Predynastic Egypt was located at Hu.
Now as for your question regarding Horus or Bat as being the most appropiate for the dominant position. One of Bat's primary aspects was as protector. As the Narmer Palette is supposed to be representing his victory over Lower Egypt. i believe that, Bat as his protector, during the war is most appropiate for her dominant position.

I completely disagree. Hathor is part of the Seth line, and appears almost immediately in Dynasty 1.

According to my sources Den married Seshemetka, Semat and Serethor. I cant find any books saying that he married a woman called Hathor, would you please share your source with us?

Si-Amun is partially right. But my source says that his wife was unknown.
Both Hathor and Buto were gods/goddesses. A name incorperating those could be used, but the name of the goddess would not be used for a mortal.
Den was the third king in the 1st Dynasty.

Well, my source is a book called "The Royal Families of Ancient Egypt" by Dr. Aidan Dodson of Bristol University and he gives Den three wives, the ones I mentioned above. The names are taken from four boundary stelae from Abydos and are probably the spouses of the monarch. That is what Dodson says in his book.

Outstanding question.... this link is pretty hard to find... and somewhat controversial... so I will look for a lot of evidence...

look at the bottom picture,
here is a very neat picture which seems to be mis-interpreted.... notice a missing pharoh... followed by a cat.... above the missing pharoah is a hammer. I feel this implies the cat(bastest) is pregnant / working on creating the last pharoah of the dynasty.
After Qaa is born, the missing pharoh is filled in, and the cat disappears.

3.) she was thus a central part of the aboriginal religion of Pre-Dynastic Ancient Egypt/Kemit which for Initiates of the esoteric spirituality system of the Path of the Aten 7 brought salvation and deification while alive.
