Even though they were not as successful as the Egyptians, Old Turkic tribes such as Uighurs and the Huns mummified their deads and rulers. We, Turks believed in the other world before we became Muslims and some Turkish Khans were mummified after they died. The dead people were buried with their goods and horses. (Horses were very important in Turkish culture.) It's another resemblance between the Ancient Egyptian and Ancient Turkish cultures.
Another resemblance is that some of the Khans had obelisks built which are known as "The Orkhon Scripts". But contrary to the obelisks of Egypt, these ones were built to give advises to Turkish people.
