Does anyone know any useless little facts about Egypt that could be added to a story to add a bit more realist depth. Just something to make it feel more authentic than lots of other Egyptian stories (Christian Jacq! lol)

Umm.. Sekhmet said this a little bit ago, but there is actually a pyramid shaped mountain on top of the Valley of the Kings called Meretseger.

In the annual flooding of the Nile, it was called "Isis crying". The actual water was known, at that time, as the "tears of Isis".

I read something like 'the cool breeze blowing from the north known as the Breath of Ra'. I've been using that in my stories.

Dunno about anybody else but i think 'south' would be a more fitting direction!

A still born child was technically without a soul and often, if buried referred to only as "the Osiris" as without a soul it had no name.

Rameses III was probably named after Rameses II but was not related to him!

Thutmose I was not related to his predecessor Amenhotep I but was "adopted" by him.
