I think Sekhmet was the wife of Ptah, and their child is Nefertum, the lotos-god. _________________ http://belldandy.freeblog.hu --> my blog site |

Psusennes,
You've convinced me that Het-Heret is a different goddess than Heret-Hor. I believe Het-Heret is sekhet/sekhmet ... where as Heret-Hor is Hathor.
Het-Heret does not not have the symbol of a cow... it is a falcon, apparently.

I believe because both goddesses contain the word "Heret", that they were MISTAKENLY merged. |

under Sekhmet... there are two pictures... one with cow horns... and one with a sun-disk....
I bet one is a picture of Bastet(Cow Horns), and one is a picture of Sekhmet(Disk) |

alright. this post really really frustrated me.
BASTET AND SEKHMET ARE SISTERS.
or bastet is her mother
or they are the same person.
If you're going to be on here posting like you know what you're flippin talking about than please, please, do some reading.
I was looking to a mother to these two goddesses, as I have yet to find any info on it.
and i found this dribble.
I don't give a dam what stupid religion you think you belong to, or how long you have been interested in this mythology.
you're a freaking idiot.
Egyptian mythology is too complex for you, please.....just go study some Norse gods or something.
if you can't wrap your head around the fact that you can never really be right about any of it than please move on and do something more simple.
I hear catholic saints are quite simple, and don't change often.
Egyptian mythology can never be truly tied down or deciphered because of the way that it evolved and came about.
THERE ARE NO FACTS
only theories.
the gods and goddesses and what they rule over, their names and even their existence have changed more times than you can imagine, apparently, since you think you know everything.
so do us all a favor, pull your stupid head out your smelly but and go to the library dammit. _________________ my pussy is 6000 years old |

Your posting is in extremely poor taste, and completely un-necessary on this board. If you do not like things people say on this board, do not read it. Go elsewhere to play your little games.
People who post here are very intelligent, especially in their favorite fields, something you lack completely judging by your posting. |
