I'll try to direct this topic back on subject:

My avatar is of Psusennes II, not the first, and I think that it looks O.K but not great. Si-Amun is strongly opposed to my changing it, but I think that if I did it could look quite good. Can anyone suggest any other pictures, and post a URL. I might not change it- but I am considering it.

All I am saying is that once you have established yourself on this site I dont think you should change your avatar. I look out for your silver Psusennes, or Josh Groban or PharaohKel or the lioness statue of Sekhmet. When I see those pics I think "oooh, I better read this, they usually post something good". Dont change your pic, it is the face that we have come to recognise you by, would you change your entire face because you think there could be a better one? I dont think so, because you would be harder to recognise.

DONT DO IT

(I may have gone a little overboard but I hate it when established members change their pics around and I always end up confused!)

...heh. My avatar is a portrait I made that's supposed to look (resemble) me. My hair doesn't look QUITE like that, but it's close. The color's right on. And I worked hard on that Razz

Took me quite a bit of time...Margo's took me about 3-4 hours constantly working on it. Mine took a few days as I didn't constantly work at it.
