I sense a danger approaching the human race, although *some* people think the entire human race should die, I am not too happy knowing that we might all possibly die soon. How you ask? It's quites simple really, It all starts with the Mayans Approx. 1,000 years ago, You see the Mayans believed in great "cycles" and at the end of each cycle, there was a great extinction, this is what thier calendar is based upon. Each cycle lasts 10,500 years, sound familar? It should Thats the Approx. date B.C that the pyramids were built! But thats later. Anyway, at the end of the last cycle was the time period scientists like to call the ice age. Scared yet? You should be because the last ice age was just shy of 10,500 years ago.
Back to the calendar, the Mayans also ended the calander at the last cycle, which we are in right now on the winter solstice, December 21 2012, the day every man, woman, and child could possibly die. You don't believe me, but the Mayan calander is more accurate then the Gregorian we use today, sure it 's only .009 precent more accurate but that is a feat unto itself considering they had no access to modern equipment!
Coming to the part about the pyramids being built in 10,500, there is considerable evidence that the pyramids are much older then what we are told to believe, like there is water damage on the spynx, and the area around it hasn't seen water since about 10,500 B.C.

No wonder your depressed! Perhaps you should consider more mundane things, instead of warped out theories of discontents and malcontents.

December 21 2012 CE isn't the date of the possible death of every human being. Get real and stop with the scare tactics! It is the end of the current Mayan Cycle, and the birth of another cycle. The Mayans didn't die out at the end of the last cycle. The survivors and the rest of the world isn't going to die out at the end of this cycle. Like the cycle of spring, summer, fall, and winter every cycle comes to an end only to be "reborn".

There is no evidence worth its salt that proves the Sphinx, or the Pyramids are any older than what is taught.

Come back to earth, walk with both feet squarely upon the good earth that is ours. Feel the grass between your toes, and drink with your eyes, the beauty of the sky, and our world.

Me being like i am, will but in here just to say, that this is not worth fighting about, i do not beleive in prophecies or anything like that. what comes comes.you are right sekhmet, such pessimistic views are bad for a person, though it is pwned's decision to beleive it, and i am not saying that you did not already know that. and in the end, it will not be caused by some mystical cycle, humans are quite smart enough to be able to drop a neuclear bomb on themselves.

And just to add, there is no proof worth its salt to prove that the pyramids were built when the orthodox pyramidologists say either, if all of us forget our pride, we dont actualy know when the pyramids were made, or what they were for. though personaly, i beleive, that the 'pyramidiots' have a better idea of it.

the mayans believed with all of their hearts that the end of the world would come to end on Dec. 21, 2012. To ignore a prediction of a civilization which so accurately has predicted comets and dated calanders prior to the existence of the modern technology which exists today would be ignorant at best. enjoy walking on your earth, enjoy the grass between your toes, but be carefull not to fall off of the lawn when you reach the end of your flat world.

Plus, it's not like there were any people before the Ice Age, so it doesn't really count as being part of any "human extinction cycle".

Ahlan!!!

All these theories are exhausting. I'm tired of hearing them, because they seem to me an insult to the Ancient Egyptians and they knowledge. I would advise all this "piramidiots", as Hawass calls them, to read a good Archaeology's book (I recommend that of Renfrew and Bahn), and study a bit before making strange theories about UFOs, atlants and the Apocalipsis. In 10.500 BC we only find neolithic shepherds in Egypt.

And why all this obsession about pyramids and supposed misteries??? My Middle Egyptian teacher says that if you put one stone on another one, you finally obtain a pyramid. It is more misterious how, with stone tools, they could make such perfect statues as the one of Khafre with the falcon embracing the back of his head. And then we still don't need esoterical explanations.
