AWFUL-If this movieis another Titanic I am going to stay home not a doubt about.
I have an idea-what about an animated movie about Tutankhamon a bit like The Prince of Egypt only this time paying even closer attention to historical details etc; in animated movie it would also be easier to show Tutankhamon and Ankhsenamon growing up, the animators would draw them in a way that would show they were growing older year by year ,than it would be to get several actors to show tham at various ages.It would also be easier to draw Egyptian palaces and temples than to pay for expensive sets or use a lot of special effects. What does everyone think? |

I think that animation would cheapen the great nation, as it did with Prince of Egypt. How can one convey the grandeur and majesty of such an exulted realm in a cartoon? They can do what they like but I would kind a cartoon story of Tutankhamun degrading and frankly disrespectful to the memory of the illustrious eighteenth dynasty, of whom he was the last blood member. I am quite angry about this now. How dare they portray him as a cartoon. It was infuriating enough when it was Ramses and Seti, but at least it wasn't masquerading as historical fact. Oh my god. I bet Ankhesenamun has a big song in it and all the priests start dancing. If it is another Prince of Egypt I will tear my hair out, wear light blue and wail in mourning for all the respect Egypt once had. _________________ Thou dost appear beautiful on the horizon of heaven, oh living Amun, he who was the first to live. |

Hey! I LOVED Prince of Egypt!!!!! But I doubt they'd be able to do as good a job with Tut.
(Aye bursting into song with priests dancing around in the background. Aye-yi-yi.... ) _________________ *Tadukhipa*

OMG, I have just imagined a Disney version of the Hymn to the Aten, with Akhenaten and Nefertiti dancing about the palace of Akhetaten. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. _________________ Thou dost appear beautiful on the horizon of heaven, oh living Amun, he who was the first to live. |

LOL!!!!!!! Don't forget all the cute little animals crowding around Nefertiti. (They'd be abnormally cute scarabs, jackals, crocodiles, cats and a baby hippo). _________________ *Tadukhipa*

And she would ride on the back of one whilst singing some lovely song. And they would forget to mention she fell from grace and had her name erased. _________________ Thou dost appear beautiful on the horizon of heaven, oh living Amun, he who was the first to live. |

I don't understand. I put in Tutankhamun, Tutankhamen, King Tut and Tut and nothing for 2005 came up. _________________

Which Cleopatra movie was that? If it was the one with Leonor Varela in the lead role then it is worth a watch, maybe not the greatest film ever made but on the whole it is worth a watch. Even if it is just for the costumes and sets I enjoyed the film quite a bit, even though I did point out EVERY inaccuracy. I must stop doing that really. lol _________________ Thou dost appear beautiful on the horizon of heaven, oh living Amun, he who was the first to live. |
