Truth be told... We all know that since we're all geeks, everyone here would be cheering for the smart twin...

Well I would make the smart twin pharaoh and the strong twin leader of the army, then I would make sure that the priesthood supports the smart one 'cause I wouldn't want the strong one overthrow him with the ehl of the army.

Wow... Yeah, if the athletic one gets booted out of his position as Pharaoh, I guess he would be more than a little pissed off... ...I guess we've got some sibling rivalry issues to work out here. (Seriously though, if the army and a bunch of priests got into a fight, who do you think would win??)

I think the smart one would make a better priest than a Pharoah. Book smarts arent everything, practically everyone that has them lacks common sense, not a good trait for a Pharoah.

And it does depend on the state of the territory during the times. If it was in a war, you should go for the most athletic one.

The story of Akhenaten ought to show that book smarts weren't appreciated by the Ancient Egyptians. It wasn't long after his death that he was being called the "great criminal". Egypt's history shows that they preferred strong warrior pharaohs.

So then it would make more sense to have the stronger pharoah.

Yeah, but I don't know if that was so much out of smarts or out of insanity. I mean, maybe if he did have more books smarts, he'd have realized that he was bringing the country to ruins. Plus, he had the worst management of foreign affairs! He just chilled out in the desert as his allies got destroyed. Not too smart to me...

I am sorry Tadukhipa, the concept that Akhenaten had a very poor foreign policy is being thrown out now days.
A thorough study of the Armarna letters has brought about this change in scholarships understanding of Akhenaten's foreign policy. He was actually very active in foriegn affairs, only he chosed different from his father, and grandfather espeically in light of his treatment of Mitanni.
