i was readin this book and it said that they found a block with 2 copper handles on it blocking something in the air shaft leading from the queens chamber. has it been opened or explored yet? if so wats behind it?

That is "Gatenbrinks door," Discovered by gatenbrink (Imagine that!) It was opened last fall, and they found, amazingly, another door just like it. It was on that big huge boring special with Zahi Hawass we've been talking about. No one knows when they'll open the other door.

We're not talking about a queen. One of the chambers of the Great Pyramid is called "Queen's Chamber" although it wasn't a burial place for a queen.

They say it's a door. People like my cynical brother say it's a stone block. I say it's both. I think there are many behind it. It makes sense to have at least 3 if you have two there already.
