I didn't climb it either, but it was really tempting. But I was also ill at that time, so I had no energy left for climbing.

Yes, the famous Egyptian food, I hardly survived. And I did my best to drink only bottled water, I didn't drink from Nile. You know, it's said that when you want to come back, you should take a drink from Nile. But I bet that at such a case, you wouldn't even leave...

Actually, it doesn't look that dirty, it was beautifully blue when I was there. Plenty of kids were bathing there (I wonder whether there're crocodiles...).

I believe that all the crocodiles and Hippopotomi were run out in the 1950's when the Aswan High Dam went up, and now they don't like the habitat as much, since there's no annual flooding anymore.

Thats true, I think the stones were stolen or fell off or something, I don't remember....
