| I think maybe he was but there's another possibility, that he died in an accident. |

| Yes, but it is interesting that he died when he was old enough to rule without help and there were people around who could be hungry for power... Also, if he was murdered it can explain why was Ankhesenamen so desperate that she even tried to marry a Hittite. I think she was terribly afraid for some reason. |

But it isn't sure that Ankhesenamun wrote that letter, it could be Nefertiti too. But if I were to decide between Aye and Horemheb, then I would go for Horemheb. I don't know why, but I don't think Aye killed him and if so, then not alone, but with Horemheb. _________________ <i>"Sorry, did I say something wrong? I've been thinking that for a while...Aye was really too old to pull it off alone. _________________

I also think that if her were murdered Horemheb would be the prime suspect, I don't know why I never think that it's Aye, I just can't picture him being a bad-guy for some reason. _________________ -Akhenaten- |

| He could have died of a disease. Or maybe he was accidently killed. But I think he was murdered because there are alot of strange things that occur after his death. |

Will, why do you think he murdered himself??
Ay and Horemheb... well, I can imagine that Horemheb say: "let's kill him, then you can rule, and after your death, which can be close for you're old, I'll rule and to ensure that, I'll marry your daughter..." (would make a good screenplay). Still I can't think of Ay as a murderer.
If only we knew whether Horemheb and Mutnodjmet's marriage took place before or after Ay's death, then we could know if there was such agreement between them or not. |
