| Yes, I was there last year... it was so beautiful, I'm longing for returning to Egypt. I spent 10 days there, in Mansoura, that's a city north from Cairo, and I've been to Cairo to visit the pyramids & the museum and the citadel, and I've also been to Alexandria. These were the most beautiful 10 days of my life. |

It was beautiful but we spent there only two hours which is not enough to see everything so I'll have to visit it again. |

We were staying in Hurghada at Red Sea and visiting many places like Luxor, Karnak, Cairo, Giza... The Temple of Amun in Karnak was the most wonderful place I've ever seen and I liked the Egyptian Museum much too. _________________ <i>"Sorry, did I say something wrong? I was looking thorugh some tours of Egypt and many include snorkeling in the Red Sea and trips up to Mount Sinai, where God gave Moses the 10 commandments. I would love to do that. _________________ Yea, Im gonna need you to come in on Sunday... |

I've been to Egypt three times now, and each time I had a wondrful experience!
The first time, my brother and his wife sent me (from Tunis) as a birthday present. I was only in Cairo, and just for a week. The first day I was there, I was mugged! A guy with a knife robbed me in an alleyway, in downtown Cairo. That was quite an experience.
The second time, I was first in Cairo, and then spent two weeks in Alexandria--a very European-flavored city. Everyone I met was so nice. It seems as if most of the people in Alexandria are Greek-Egyptian, a delightful combination. I originally intended to stay for a couple of days, but I then I met a young couple, who invited me to stay with them in their home for as long as I would like. I had so much fun!
The third time, I spent a month in Egypt, travelling by rental car from Alexandria to Aswan, viewing all I could of the noted sites--Saqqara, Tell el-Amarna, Karnak Temple, Luxor, Valley of the Kings--etc. etc. Every place I went, I met Egyptologists envolved in digs, and would be invited to sites not on the regular tours. It was truly a delightful time for me!
I really love Egypt--the people there today are so warm and friendly--even with the negative attutude towards Americans because of Iraq. And in my opinion, it's past is a great chance to see the remains of an advanced civilization.
I'd love to retire and live the rest of my life there! |

OMG PharaohKel you are a genius!!!! What if we all made a collection to meet up in Egypt together and get a tour of the cities there? It would take a while, but since we pretty much are probably all getting jobs, we'd be able to contribute like $5 a month. If we came up with a total price and split the cost, that would probably mean less money for each individual to pay, plus we'd be meeting awesome people in the process! Sounds hard, but anyone willing to work? _________________
