I have a scarab beetle that has been sitting around the house for about 18 years...since I cannot read heiroglyphs i thought I'd try my luck elsewhere. I'm not convinced it is real but I would like to know if the heiroglyphs on the back mean anything...or if they are just gibberish. I'm mainly interested in the cartouche though. Thank You.

I'm not an expert in hieroglyphs, but with just a quick look I can see nothing that looks like a real hieroglyph, only someone's attempt to look authentic.

It could still be genuine (though it probably is not) - I remember a group of coffins that would have been denounced as fake if they had not been found by a reputable archaeologist.

i have studied Ancient Egyptain history since the age of seven and have been able to not only read hieroglyphs but also write as well. I totally agree with Osiris II. Who ever carved the heiroglphs on this didnt really have understand the meanings behind each herioglyph it makes no scence at all! its just giberish.
