Hi,
does anybody have experiences with the program called GlyphoText? I try to find a way to write in columns using cartouches. The spelling without cartouches and with open cartouches and serekhs as well doesn't make any problem. ... But in the moment I want to set the signs into a closed cartouche (vertically) or in a closed serekh as well ... all the signs suddenly are mixed or compressed so that there is no order as intended. It seems not to be possible to write with closed cartouches in vertical direction (horizontally doesn't make any problem). And I didn't get any respond from the author untill today since a longer time.
Note: I prefer to write right to left horizontally and vertically because it was the most common direction.
Its versatile nature allowed it to be written in rows or in columns, oriented from right to left or from left to right. All signs are normally positioned as if looking towards the beginning of the text. Just how versatile this orientation was, is shown in the many temple reliefs that show a king facing one or more gods. The texts share the orientation of the representations they accompany and like the king faces the gods, so do their respective texts. _________________ gw2 gold
