| I don't no about the pyramids being built by aliens but i think they built them to become closer to the gods or closer to the afterworld. As far as the design goes I have no idea why they choose a triangle shape maybe they could hold up better than anything else. |

| Oh yes! I absolutely love Stargate. And they have managed to be fairly faithful to known egyptian mythology. There is an episode where the character of Osiris is offered a position by another Gou'auld named Zupocna on behalf of someone else. Zupocna says it is someone you have work closely with beofre. This someone turns out to be Anubis and we all know the connection between Osiris and Anubis in egyptian mythology. I'm hoping the new series will bring in some of the gods they haven't yet mentioned but they have featured a fair few. |

Awinita,
Thank you for your support. If you doubt the concept of the Orion's belt than go to the above mentioned sight and scroll down to Orion's belt. I wasn't the first to say it. Beside's we all know that just because you can't see something doesn't mean that is doesn't exist. We can't see God, yet we know that he exist's and very few people will argue this. Just because some of us don't beleive in the alien's doesn't mean that they also do not exist. This is truth. |

| It's not a case of doubt. I've seen plenty of sites and books that prove that the correlation doesn't match up that well but each to their own. |

| As i said before: science has not proved that God exist's; yet we know that he does. Just because simple man does not know everything does not mean it is not truth. And you are right... to each his own. Either your open or not. |

I don't need prove of God's existance...it's called faith, and I'm sure many others don't need it either. _________________ |\| e F e r t i |< a u r E |

I think it's interesting that cultures from Mexico also have pyramids, and the Woodland indians (USA Great Plains) had mounds that were pyramidical, like Cahokia Mounds in Illinois. Does anyone have any ideas as to why ancient cultures chose that shape for their really important building projects? All of them seemed to last a long time, for one thing. |
I've heard one logical theory about it. It was that they wanted to build tall buildings, but weren't as technically advanced as to build something like a skyscraper. Therefore the only way to create something so big was to build it in a shape of a pyramid. It wasn't possible to choose any other shape in those times. _________________ <i>"Sorry, did I say something wrong? Also it is correct that the pyramids were built out of love for Egypt and it's God's. Also it was a rock quarry for those that needed punishment; at least during some Pharaohs rein. Not all people were tortured or put to death for every misdeed. |
I thought the pyramids were built because they believed they were closer to god in this manner. just what i have read and heard. |
