Greetings:) I have always been fascinated by the Egyptians... if you beleive in reincarnation, then I guess it wouldn't sound crazy to say I think I must have been one in another life!
What I find interesting is that these great queens had so very much in common. They seemed to all disappear, and both Ankhsenemun and Nefertiti sent letters asking to mary a son that would later be assasonated, in effort to save the throne. Hmmmm...anyhow, I like to talk, so feel free to email me : akeller@stx.rr.com

| As far as I am aware, it was just Ankensenamun who sent the letter, we speculate!!!! Nefertiti just dispears from records! |

According to different theories, it could be either Nefertiti or Ankhsenamun who sent the letter. A minority of Egyptologists even think that it was Meritaten. I'm almost sure that it was Ankhes, for the Hittite king ordered his messenger to look around, maybe Egyptians do have a prince and this whole thing is a trap. When Nefertiti became a widow, Tutankhamen was still alive, and I guess they wouldn't be able to hide him from the Hittite messenger. (or maybe it was possible? After all, male members of the family were not often depicted, let alone the Pharaoh... does it mean that ordinary people didn't even know about them? now I become more and more confused... but this always happen when I think about Ancient Egyptians... |

| Yes I think I have mentioned that somewhere else in the forum. The reason I don't think it was Nefertiti is just as you say, because Tut is alive. While he wasn't the son of the Great Royal Wife, Tut was the heir and would not be disregarded after Akhenaten's death, even if Nefertiti had another child, especially as his father would have been a foreigner if Nefertiti had wrote the letter. I have always believed it to Ankhesenamun. |
