Hello all, and greetings from New Orleans! I have been obsessed with ancient Egypt since I was a small child, and even considered a career in Egyptology.....but gave that up and became an artist instead. Much of my artwork features an Egyptological theme and I have recently decided to try my hand at writing novellas and short stories about the Amarna period.
When I am not writing, painting, and reading, I homeschool my little girl, take care of my cats(I guess I'm a crazy cat lady!), and mess around in my garden.
I look forward to getting to know you all, and this looks like a fun forum...  |

Hi Egyptianscribe, and thank you for the welcome! I am in the process of taking pictures and scanning my art so I can put it online.....so as soon as I get the site up and running, I will be sure to post a link.
I saw the pictures that you posted of your "tomb".......simply beautiful. I would love to be able to find the time to do something like that for my room, but right now the big, gold Aten that I have on the wall above my bed will have to suffice. |

Hallo, and I freakin LOVE your user pic, did you do that? ^_^
I am an artist myself, though my signature is from high school...^_^;; I got more recent ones that need to be scanned, I'm the one working on a Tut webcomic, which should be ready to go by the end of this year.
Anywho, I'd love to see yer work, Ankh, and welcome aboard!

As much as I would love to claim my avatar as my own artwork, it is not.....I have no idea where it originally came from, but somebody left the pic as a comment on my myspace a while back and I loved it. I think it is supposed to be Cleopatra, but it reminds me of "myself", LOL  |

Yea, people leave me fun gifts all the time on myspace...  Being the best Tut on there...well...eh...I dunno.
