Can you get true historical facts from Egyption movies that are made today? Like from the movie The Mummy and The Mummy Returns and many other movies that have been made in the past as well???
Just wondering is all.

All I want to know is that can you get actuall facts about egypt from hollywood movies of today and from hollywood movies in the past? I am just refurring to all movies in general eventhough I picked out those two movies in paticular, they were one's just off the top of my head. Sorry, I tend not to get to the point of things....

Movies are meant as entertainment. Factual events are sometimes mentioned, but in general movies play up the sex-violence cards. Do not expect to gain any real knowledge from any movie! I can't think of any that has been 100% factual...

I think the fact that Hollywood could release a film called 'Krakatoa, East of Java' says a lot about how much you can trust Hollywood for accuracy.
