There's an interesting article about the results of CT scans on 6 mummies in San Diego.
The article is based on an interview with Nigel Strudwick.

It's interesting how much they seem to have done to make the mummies look reasonable in antiquity.

There is no doubt that with the help of technology researchers are unrevealing all the miseries of past. The results of a CT scan done on King Tut's mummy indicate the boy king was not murdered, but may have suffered a badly broken leg shortly before his death at age 19, an Egypt's top archaeologist said that a wound that could have become infected. and it tok the life of a great Ferro.

It’s amazing how a broken bone can lead to an infection. I really am going to do more research on the subject. It’s very interesting how tut’s death theory keeps changing. I guess his body is so old that we’ll really never know what happened! Wink

Its not that long ago (historically speaking) that a broken thigh was a life threatening injury. Anyone know when you could be confident of surviving?
