| I don’t remember when, but I believe it was a few years back, but did anyone see the documentary about the pyramids being built by large kites? I remember some professor or scientist proved that huge obelisk could be lifted through large kites. I wish I could read more on this. Though it might be a far fetched theory—it is still very neat none the less! |

I remember seeing that special. Although the theory of lifting huge blocks--including obelisks--is a theory that could be possible, in practical use it would not be reliable. Imagine a group waiting until the wind was blowing in the right strength to work on building the pyramid! Think it through and you can see how it just would not work.
It's always amazed me, how many different ideas can be thought up for the construction of the pyramids. It's as if it is just impossible to imagine the ancient Egyptians having such abilities. |

| I tend to agree but the wind in Egypt does tend to be fairly steady and It seems to me that ancient people were less bothered about waiting for events than we moderns are. |
