|
|
Animal, Vegetable, Mineral and Abstract.
You ask questions which in theory I should be able to answer yes or no to find what I am thinking about.
Abstract includes Gods & Magic. There is a problem of where to draw the line. The examples I have given are fairly arbitrary -
I would class an image of a god as having abstract connections but not a piece of jewellery which includes a god.
A pyramid is not abstract despite its roll in making pharaoh a god.
A temple has abstract connections but a part of a temple (except the shrine & the statues) have not.
My first item avoids this - It should be mineral with some vegetable but some animal might be included. |

Need some clarification on the rules.
Do we get one question per post or can we ask multiple questions per post? How specific are your items? ex. A stone scarab vs. the commerative stone wedding scarab of Amenhotep III.
Anyways here is my first question:
Is this mineral a precious gem/metal? _________________

2 or 3 questions per post is OK (but the answer to 1 question might make the other questions irrelevant).
It is not precious
It is quite specific - but you will need to get the general class |

Im going to attempt a guess.
The Columns in the The Great Hypostyle Hall of the Temple of Karnak.
They are made of sandstone (mineral), in the shape of Papyrus stalks/buds (plant) and are inscribed with heiroglyphs (many of which are animals) and anthropomorphic deities (animal), as well as images of Ramses II(animal).
How did I do? _________________

| Sorry you are wrong - a free clue - I am thinking of a rarely visited temple (which I have visited once on a package tour). |

OK...I didnt think it would be that easy.
So, I guess I need to first identify the Temple.
Lets try to narrow it down.
Q6: Is this temple in Upper Egypt?
Q7: Is this an island temple? _________________

???
It seems we have conflicting answers. I asked if the temple was in Upper Egypt to wich you replied "NO" narrowing the location down to Lower Egypt.
When I asked if the temple was Lower Egypt, North of Iunu Heliopolis you also said "NO".
The separation between Upper and Lower Egypt is traditionally just south of Cairo which happens to be just North of Heliopolis.
lets try this:
Is the Temple in Upper Egypt?
Is the Temple in Lower Egypt? _________________
