Has anyone ever read the Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt? If so, was it good? I want some reviews so I know if I should get it or not ! |

If you truly love Egypt then you'll buy it and read it. It's excellent. Don't bother just buying books to fill up your bookshelf. Make sure that every single one is worth having. _________________

I have to agree with Psus. Ramsekh - you sound like a compulsive buyer!
But, to the subject.. I haven't read the book, unfortuanately. Everything I've heard about it (which isn't much) was good, though. If you can find it at a bookstore, read a few passages and see if it suits your fancy. That's how I chose my books! _________________ "Does anyone ever truly think 'outside' of the box, or are they merely expanding the possibilities of what that box can hold to suit their own agenda?"

I've bought ONE book with MY money. Just ONE! The other books I have were given to me as gifts. I love Egypt, really. I just dont have the interest to read anything because of homeschooling (I just read boring subjects). _________________

lol - ok .. ok. But what do you mean, ..boring? It seems like every other page, someone has died, explored something or had sex..! It's a very fun culture to study! _________________ "Does anyone ever truly think 'outside' of the box, or are they merely expanding the possibilities of what that box can hold to suit their own agenda?"

I do mind
Everyone asks me that and they go into very detailed questions. I read books that are sent to me from Pennsylvania (my school is located there) and after that, I log into my acount on the website and take an exam. Booya. Sounds simple, but it's not really.

I think Psus said it was excellent. This just might be an indicator that he has read it! _________________ "Does anyone ever truly think 'outside' of the box, or are they merely expanding the possibilities of what that box can hold to suit their own agenda?"

I have it. I have read it. It is excellent, and very accesible. It has entries on pretty much every God you could care to name, even some of the rather more obsure minor localised deities and bau spirits. _________________
