Lately, my friends have started to ask to see my photos from Egypt. I will get them developed. I'll have to learn how to scan them. So I am soooo glad Lostris shared your wonderful photos. My body is back in the States but my mind is slowly adjusting from Egypt. I have a hard time talking to my friends because my mind is on Egypt. I tell them I have a hard time answering questions because I have to switch gears from Egypt. BACK TO EGYPT...It is an awesome place and if you go there, go beyond your five senses to experience it. Look beyond the commercialism. Don't let your experience get stuck in that. Egypt is TIMELESS. Feel it. Egypt is MYSTERY. Use your spirit to feel what is around you. That is what we are. As humans we are mysterious. We don't know our history in the universe...there is alot of mystery about human origins. Mystery is part of our life. If you go to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo or anywhere there is ancient Egypt, feel what you are seeing... |

Thank you, Hatshepsut76!!
Kingtutblessing, same here... When I'm confused, I always want to be in Egypt, expecially now, because the winter is coming in here, Hungary, it is cold, filthy and horrible and I will vomit, bloeh. I wish to be be in Egypt, visiting the famous places or shopping in the bazaar, or just lying on a boat which travels down the Nile... To hear the plashing of the water, and the quiet rustling of the wind... and the past... *dreaming*
Oh, Lostris, wokey-wokey!! ^^  _________________ http://belldandy.freeblog.hu --> my blog site |

I was actually scheduled to visit Egypt a while back. It was part of a plan of mine to actually just go to Egypt, France and back and evolved into a trip around the world. My funding was going great until family trajedy... so unfortunatly on both ends of the stick, I am once again broke!
Perhaps on a later date... _________________ "Does anyone ever truly think 'outside' of the box, or are they merely expanding the possibilities of what that box can hold to suit their own agenda?"

I wish you good luck! |

Well. I envy you. I've spent a combined total of zero months out there. The only bonus I can possibly see to not having visited Egypt yet is that when I finally do, I'm bound to appreciate it more. _________________

Buying a round-trip ticket and never return to the airport is my plan. _________________

I envy all of our European and English members! It's so cheap for you all to go to Egypt! Here on the West Coast of America it is around $1000.00 in U.S. dollars to go and return.
I've been lucky enough to go every year for the past 10 years! The longest I've been able to stay was one trip when I spent a month there. (Heaven!)
I guess my favorite place for a long stay is Luxor. There's so much to do and see in the area. |

As part of my planned trip, it was as follows:
Boise - Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh - Dublin
Dublin - Cairo
Cairo - Paris
Paris - Berln
Berlin - Sydney
Sydney - Boise
It would have spanned about three and a half months of trip, the majority of which would have been in Egypt, of course. But, it would have cost about $3,200! Considering costs of going to any of the locations singally, I feel this would have been one great deal. _________________ "Does anyone ever truly think 'outside' of the box, or are they merely expanding the possibilities of what that box can hold to suit their own agenda?"

<--indeed, seen by my avatar. i was 8 years old and i went in early december of 1995. i'm now 18.
the reason i'm crying in this picture is because a tour guide picked me up in front of an unknown mummy because i was too short (in ramses VI's tomb i think???) and i started crying because it freaked me out. so i have a picture of me crying in front of tut's tomb sign.
the tour guides loved me, and the egyptian arabs kept giving me free things because i was cute and had blonde hair. i got a free pair of shoes if i recall from the cairo bazaars.
we went on a nile cruise for 2 weeks from cairo to aswan/abu simbel, etc... |
