It symbolizes the god Horus, and sometimes the godess Wadjyt. Other than that I don't know. _________________ -Akhenaten- |

It was the eye that Horus had lost in the contendings with Set and then either Thoth or Isis used magic on it and made it an item of power and I think Horus used it on Set or something, I don't really know. _________________

In distant past, the Egyptians believed that their country was ruled by the god Osiris and they enjoyed a 'Golden Age' when there was prosperity for everyone. Seth, the brother of Osiris, was jealous and plotted to kill Osiris and seize the throne. At a banquet, Seth promised a chest to anyone who count fit into it exactly. When Osiris got inside, the lid closed, the chest was tied up and thrown into the Nile. Isis, the wife of Osiris, managed to rescue his body. She kept it in the Delta marshes but while she was absent Seth, out on a hunting trip, came across it. He chopped the body into pieces and scattered them up and down Egypt. Isis collected nearly all the parts and Anubis the jackal-god helped her to wrap them in linen bandages, so forming the first mummy. Because Isis was 'great in magic' she brought Osiris sufficiently to life to make her pregnant. Osiris then left this world to become ruler of the Kingdom of the Dead. Isis gave birth to a son, Horus. At last, Horus became old enough to avenge his father's murder and regain the throne. A vicious struggle lasted for years between Horus and Seth, but Horus took claim to court of the gods where he won his inheritance of the kingship of Egypt.
Eye of Horus
As the two gods struggled for powers, Seth tore out Horus's eye. It was magically restored and became a symbol of protective watchfulness. |

Not really. Nepthys tricked Osiris, and then by Osiris she had Anubis. She abandoned Anubis in some reeds, where Isis (Aset/Eset) found him and raised him. _________________

| When we see the Rx that Pharmacists, and Dr.s use to denote a prescription. We are actually seeing the dismember parts of Horus' eye rearranged to look like Rx. |

Guest 2 Your absolutely right! I was just thinking about that yesterday after I went through the Burger King drive through as I sat eating my lunch in the parking lot staring at a Pharmacy sign. _________________

The Eye of Horus reminds me of the All-Seeing Eye that certain secret societies use. _________________ “What happened to the Black people of Sumer?” the traveler asked the old man, “for ancient records show that the people of Sumer were Black. What happened to them?” “Ah,” the old man sighed. “They lost their history, so they died.” |
