Maya- A man who is very intelligant, and has a bit of a realistic view of the world. When he starts craking jokes you know something is wrong. He has an intense rivalry with Mahu who he thinks is a fascist.
Mahu-A man who although loyal and a great leader, can be too brutal at times. He is down-to-earth, and it's hard to change his mind. He just doesn't get along with Maya the same reason fish doesn't go with ice cream. They're too different.
Merit- She is a lady of the court, following her mothers example. Known for her beautiful wigs, and wearing flimsy dresses she is like a rock star. She loves Maya deeply, but feels betrayed at times. (I don't know whether or not to include Maya's cheating) She can take care of herself and refuses to let any man have a stranglehold on her. |

If you do make one, I'll sing it. I actually do sing some opera...I've done it in Italian, German, and English. Not French 'cause I can't stand it. But yeah, I'll sing! _________________

Heh. I dunno...I'd have to look over the finished script and see which character I find most interesting. ^_^ _________________

Well, I am good at plotting and dialogue but I don't want to do everything. So how about we work together Lostris?
And if any of you are artists-why not post pictures of what you want the scenery to look like. Someone else can design costumes, etc. We can get this whole site involved! |

That's a good idea, Selket, I'm happy that you still want to work with it - sadly, the person who got this idea (my sister, pencilbox1) told me that she is no longer interested in this, but I'll try to work on dialogues and I'll also make costumes in some days, if you like. And I'm sure that a lot of people will help us if we will start it - it will like an RP story or something like that.
Anyway, I still like to see those who presumed to write down their own character's lines so don't get lazy, people, in some days, we will start to figure this out - still, we can work a little on costumes and 'design', but one day we will start it! Thank you for being enthusiastic and helpful, Selket! _________________ http://belldandy.freeblog.hu --> my blog site |

| Yes, I just haven't been around for a while. I have been busy on the Dark Mark, Comix-fan, reading THBP, researching Tolkien, and a little thing called reality. |

Yes!! I don't know about much about hard-core opera-operas, but I love musicals! I have to get involved in this... Just tell me what to do, and I'm your girl.
Crazy idea: what if we have two? One more serious opera and another more cheesy/lively one that follows the usual (albeit slightly stereotypical) styles of Broadway. (I could so make a songlist for number two. Me and my friend already made a list of songs for our "Life of Pi: the musical.)
On an only slightly related note: does anyone out there know/like Chess: the musical? I think it's seriously underrated and like the greatest thing out there, but no one's ever heard of it. If any one out there is a chess fan (or is even remotely interested in becoming a chess fan, let me know. I need to know that I'm not alone in the world! _________________ *Tadukhipa*

I like the board game, but I'm really bad at it. I'm definately a proud "chess cheerleader" though. "Chess" is a great musical though. Lots of Cold War politics and cheesy 80's pop. What's not to love? (Here's a site about it just in case anyone actually cares... http://www.geocities.com/miss_florence_vassy Plot summary is here: http://www.geocities.com/miss_florence_vassy/albums.html)
I'm seriously thinking about the cheesy Akhenaten musical though. Technically the opera on him has already been done (though I've never actually heard it) but a full-blown Broadway-style musical?? Let's bring Egypt-mania back to the public! _________________ *Tadukhipa*

Oh, I like this idea! I mean the two musicals. I guess I would be better in that broadway-style musical -- everything what is serious stands too far from me! Lyrics, anyone? have any of you tried to write something? Any ideas? _________________ http://belldandy.freeblog.hu --> my blog site |

Wow! I have been gone a long time. . . a Akhenaten opera! That would be so awesome. I can sing opera . . .I think I'm horrible(and definetly not professional), but I am soprano.
Sounds like it would be fun for you guys to do _________________

Welcome to this dead topic, Sphynx... I'm happy to see that more and more people are interested in the opera... the only problem that no-one cares about this topic, though... Maybe it will be reborn once.. _________________ http://belldandy.freeblog.hu --> my blog site |

I was just reading through this topic, and I found this post... Nefertiti didn't
have any sons, only six daughters. Tut's mother was Kiya. _________________ http://belldandy.freeblog.hu --> my blog site |
