I'm....actually kind of scared now... Laughing

But anyway, I'd like to go drift back to the topic...many people consider Akhenaten Tut's dad, and they even say it in specials. If anyone has seen "Assassination of King Tut", you'd know what I'm talking about--though the theory of Tut being murdered is slightly decreasing, I still watch that show!!

I wonder...why are there specials on Tut, Nefertiti, Cleopatra, Hatshepsut...I've NEVER seen an Akhenaten special...I heard there was a MOVIE coming out this year in theatres that is supposed to be about him, but I'm actually nervous about seeing it. Unless they said Akhenaten was Tut's dad, THEN I'd happily watch it, unless if they mis-interpret Akhenaten's story, or mix up actual events, or even MAKE them all up. The public would believe ANYTHING nowadays. ( Though, some parts of Akhenaten's life, they can fill in the blanks, such as his childhood. Though I don't know if there were any recent evidence to CLUE in his childhood years up until he was crowned at 19?). Confused

Yeah, I can only hear about Akhenaten when I'm watching a programme about Tut or Nefertiti. So sad... Crying or Very sad

Once I saw a show on Spectrum (or do you call it 'Spektrum'? Or another? I was always in problem with English names...) it was 'The Heretic King' or something like that but it was only half-an-hour-long show. We know some educational movies (like this http://store.aetv.com/html/product/index.jhtml?id=42323) but I'd be interested in a real movie witch characters and no argueing narrator who says the names uncorrectly. I was wondering if they'd make a movie from my manga comic Laughing

Yeah, Lostris, same here..I'm doing a manga on Tut, and I would love to see your manga. Hopefully, when our site is up, you can post it up there, or e-mail it to me. I'll e-mail you mine as well, or I'll just post it for all to see!! Laughing

And I hope they make a whole 2-hour special on Discovery Channel all on Akhenaten!!! And I like the Discovery Channel, anyway, cause they say that Him and Tut are father and son!!! HA!!! Laughing

I would be interested in your comic! So nice, I'm not only who draws comics in manga style! If I get a scanner, I'll post my drawings into a topic and of course our site. I see you're an Akhenaten/Tut fanatic - same here! Two- hour Akhenaten show? I have to watch it! There's a Discovery in here, Hungary so I hope that show will arrive here, too!

....If only they WOULD, Lostris....but alas...they won't!! They make every Amarna show on Discovery, and I'm going to write them an E-mail and urge them to do SOME sort of special on Akhenaten...kind of like what they did with the show "Ramesses: Wrath of God or man?". THAT was an AWESOME show, cause it explored ALL aspects of the "Exodus", and they hypothesized that Ramesses Eldest son--who died with the first born in the "Exodus"--was older than previously concepted!!! ^_^ And If they ARE making a special, I better see it soon!! Same with you, Lostris, I hope you get to see it too...that is, if it EVER comes out!! Crying or Very sad

Sadly, I haven't seen that show that you mentioned about Ramesses II, but that would be interesting. Why they disregard Akhie? He was the greatest pharaoh of ancient Egypt... Crying or Very sad

And it's all about Akhenaten's story...they only mention Tut at the end when he becomes pharaoh after Akhenaten dies...I HAVE to find the site that said that!! It's pretty funny!! Wink
