| Who else heard? I heard it the day it happened. A CT scan shows that King Tut was not murdered, but he most likely had a broken leg that became badly infected and led to his death, learn all about it here. (To watch the video about Tut on this page (I reccommend you do,) click on the word 'Launch' under the picture of king tuts head.) |

So, reading carefully, I gather that Hawass is saying, basically, "Tut absolutely, positively (we think) was NOT murdered
(so far as we know, although we really can't tell for sure)." ...Sound about right?

Not had a chance to read the article properly yet but I will do so later. All I can say is that I am always suspicious of anything with Zawi Hawas's name mentioned in it, for no other reason than I DON'T like him! |

Hmm...
What I got out of it was "We now know that Tut was not murdered. Now here are some artifacts found in his tomb that have nothing to do with the cause of his death to prove our point".

well, actually the results of the CT scan are not proving that Tut was not murdered....they simply prove that the cause of death was not a hit at bottom of his head.
Second: the only thing they could note about the leg is that the BONE..(just the BONE!!) is actually broken. It is a possibility that it has been broken by Carter's team while forcing to unglue the mummy from the coffin, at which it was hardly sticked due tothe resins cemented by the time.
Osiris II once published here the official results of the exams...look for them and read them carefully....it is not Zahi Hawass hand...
this can also underline the fact that it is not proven whether Tut was actually murdered or not. He could have been poisoned and we don't have any chance to know it for sure right now.
More, if you'll have the chance to read those reports of the tests done, you'll see that in any case it was not possible that a broken leg could cause decease due to infection, because NO SOFT TISSUE WERE INVOLVED IN ANY INFECTION!!!....also, the scientists have seen that the broken bone doesn't have resins inside of it and that the edge of the bones did not start to cicatrize, meaning that if the leg was broken when the King was still alive, it has happened for sure just few days before his death, but the fact that the resins of embalming process were not impregnated inside the bone, can defitely prove that the bone was broken LATELY!!!...
doubtless Carter did a good job!
hope it can help!...
ciao!

Not a Murder.....
Well this CT Scan shows that he was not murded ???
How abut if he had his aorta split wide open and bleed to death
when his chariot was broken...?
What if some one fixed it so the wheels fell of, not planning this end
but a broken neck?
I am not so convinced as my dear friend Dr. Hawass _________________ Free the Queen klick the image

again, Claude II, read carefully!!
It only states that Tut was not murdered by a blow to his head, nor even by infection to the broken leg...this means that the case is stil open: he could also have been poisoned.....
Plus, we don't have any evidence that he had charriot accident!!....
Hawass only directed the work, he didn't make tests! He's not a scientist nor a doctor....instead he's been behaving really professionally in this case, according to me.... |

I agree with you completely, Maatkara. The only subject put to rest by the scan was the fact that a blow to the back of the head did not kill Tutankhamen. As Hawass has said, "absolutely there was a conspiacy. He was murdered--but we will probably never know how it happened."
I still say that he more than likely died in a fall from a chariot--perhaps with a little assistance! The obvious hasty embalming and burial show some reason for covering up what had been done as quickly as possible. Also the missing sternum and cut ribs suggest some type of accident, or was done for so reason by the embalmers.
I doubt if we'll ever know for sure exactly what happened to him. As the results of the scan say--There is the body of a young man, who seemed to be in very good health, who was dead! |

Don't ya just love it when they say something after the fact that completely contradicts what they just said. so basically, we still don't know for sure. _________________ Ankh if you love Isis! |
