Dr. Zahi Hawass announced today that Tut was definitively not murdered, but as with most modern media stories the press have left out so much more than they reveal. Particularly the rather over ripe story regarding tut's "bump on the head" causing death, has been properly debunked. Not much else is offered though. I still wonder about the small "healing" wound behind the pharaoh's ear and especially about the missing heart and rib cage. Not that I suspect these may point to a murder (because I don't), but it would be really nice to have some comment on these facts. I hope more will come soon. I want to know what he was eating and whether that leg really was broken and if he could have died from such an injury (without the presence of haematoma, it's very unlikely), but I suspect Dr. Hawass will reveal more in his upcomming book. it will likely be just another teaser without the details we Tut maniacs need. _________________ Always remember, it's your right to have a SUPER day!

As far as I know, xman, Tutankhamen did not have his heart removed. To the Egyptians, the heart had to be with the deceased. It was placed on the balance scale with the feather of Ma'at, and had to be pure to admit the deceased into the afterlife. Where did you get your information that the heart was missing?
The report on the scan mentions the missing rib-cage and sternum, but think that it was probably done by Carter and his team while inspecting the mummy, and obtaining any jewelry or amulets in the (hardened) wrappings. You can read the report here:
