Cleopatra was a good ruler, she tried to get away from the Romans but her hands were kind of tied because of her stupid father who got them into the situation they were in...I blame him...and Octavian too for the fall of the Egyptian Empire.

I can't imagine that she managed to bring the two most powerful men in the world over to her side if she was ugly, as the coins portray her. Maybe she had a certain charm but that cannot accouhnt for the way she captivated both of them. I've been thinking that she knew how the world looked at her, as a whore as a temptress. Maybe she intentionally had the coins minted this way to make people forget that side of her and have them concentrate on her as the strong ruler she was.
