Be sure to keep us posted on the news releases, Maatkara. I'm sure we're all very interested in hearing the results of the CT.
I have read previously of a comment made by Hawass that said, basically, the same thing--that it was shown in the CT that he did not die from a blow to the head.
I feel elated! I've said the same for some ten years now! I hope to offical news release vindicates me even more. |

Here is what we got yesterday....I think that by now everybody already knows...but I wish to add what has been written in our italian site, hoping you will appreciate..
Tests on TutankAmon’s mummy
Zahi Hawass promises to publish the results of the tests within march 2005
Reuters UK says that Hawass stated that the results of the CT tests conducted on the mummy of Tut will be published within the end of march. At the moment these are being studied by egyptian experts among which there are anthropologists and pathologists, but within the end of February swiss and Italian experts will join the equipe. They really hope to find exact prove on how the young king has died, whether he has been killed or not. The theory of the murder is based on the presence of a hole in the aft part of the skull and little bone fragments inside of it, which may be dued to a hard hit, or during the embalmment process which has surely been sketchy, as we all know. The mummy was found glued to the sarcophagus, drowned in an excesive quantity of bituminous resins.
Furthermore, the operations conducted by Carter in order to remove all his adornments and jewels, golden mask included, have had the result of almost destroying the remains of Tut.
Zahi said that many things happened to this mummy and that they are trying to find answers to these questions.
