I just saw it advertised in yesterday's paper.
I'm sure gonna watch it!
We have a problem with the times, here, though. If it's 8 CST, it should be 6 here, but often they delay shows. It MAY be on at 8.
Whatever the time, though, I wanna see it---its promo looked very good!

Do you know if they used Robert Harris' novel "Pompeii"? It's (novel) is all fiction, but it's an excellent book. I highly recommend it!

Neb, I can't wait either. I saw the first previews over a month ago and have been waiting since then. I may try and tape it, too.

Osiris II ~I looked it up and in CA it will be on at 9pm.

I think we had that show in England a while ago, if not it was one very similar to it. If it is the same programme then do not miss it, it was excellent!

It is the same one... I read that it aired in the UK last October and that it got the HIGHEST ratings and watchers that any BBC show has ever gotten!..... 1 hour, 10 minutes and counting til it is on here.... we have the beer in the fridge and I am just about to start getting quessadillas ready for snacks.... yes, the hub and I are weird....but we never get out of the house Rolling Eyes

I, too, thought it was amazing... ended up watching it both times it was on last night. Today is my B-day (Happy Birthday to me Wink

) and Eric said if I want I can go ahead and buy it as oone of my presents.. and I will!!!! It was great! Did anyone else cry? I did, Eric thought I was an idiot, then again, I have been known to cry at Dr Suess cartoons Shocked

I, too, watched "Pompeii" last night and really enjoyed it.
I had no idea so many people were living now so close to the volcano. I realized Naples was quite close, but the other cities surprised me. What did it say? Three and one-half million people are within range of the volcano?
And talking about evacuation in Naples is a laugh--traffic there, on the most sedate day, is chaotic. Can you imagine what it would be like in an emergency? It said the death toll in Pompeii was around 5000 souls. If an eruption like that from ancient times were to recur, 700,000 people would probably die. Mind-boggling!

Don't be sorry for expressing your emotions, Maatkara. It is very good in several ways. Not only does it allow others to see (and hear) your state of mind at the present, it also is very good for you to be able to vent a bit.
You've said how much you have given up roght now--may I ask why? If you really enjoy flying, or horse-back riding, or compition swimming, why do you feel it's necessary to stop those pleasures?
And yes, when I watch "Pompeii" I cried too!

Well, I can beat you crying at Pompeii quite easily! I had rather an emotional week and watched the film Troy. When Hector died I let a tear fall down my cheek but when Priam went to Achilles for the body I was sobbing! Then last night I was feeling emotional so in my wisdom I put on Schindlers List, and sobbed once again! I am such a sensitive emotional wreck! I almost cried on the Dr. Seuss ride at "Islands of Adventure", that is soooooooo scary! lol
