Si-amun sit back, crack a few walnuts and read through some of these titles and see if there is something you like.
Tiy
Common titles:
Hm.t nsw wr.t tiy = "Great Royal Wife, Tiy."
nb.t tA.wi tiy = "Mistress of the Two lands, Tiy."
Hm.t nsw wr.t nb.t tA.wi tiy = “The Great Royal Wife, Mistress of the two lands, Tiy”
More elaborate titles can be found on the small coffin containing Tiy's lock of hair from Tutankhamun’s tomb:
rpat.t wr.t Hsw.t nb.t rSw.t Hnw.t TAw nDm-ib(?) nb.t tA.wi tiy mAa.t-xrw xr nTr-nfr D.t = “Hereditary Noblewoman, Great in Praise/Favour, Lady of Joy, Mistress of Joyful Breath (or: Joyful Mercy),Lady of the Two Lands, Tiy, justified with the Good God forever."
rpa.t wr.t Hsw.t Hnw.t Sma mHw nb.t tA.wi tiy anx.t(i) D.t = "Hereditary Noblewoman, Great in Favour/Praise, Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt, Lady of the Two Lands, Tiy, that she may live for ever!"
rpa.t wr.t Hsw.t Hnw.t Sma -{illegible, but surely: mHw}-nb.t tA.wi tiy anx.t(i) D.t = "Hereditary Noblewoman, Great in Favour/Praise, Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt, Lady of the Two Lands, Tiy, that she may live for ever!"
Hm.t nsw wr.t mr.t=f nb.t tA.wi tiy anx.ti D.t -{lacuna, but surely: r}- nHH ="The Great Royal Wife, beloved of him, Lady of the Two Lands, Tiy, that she may live for ever and ever!"
Hm.t nsw wr.t tiy -{illegible; ?+w; perhaps a defective mAa.t-xrw ?}- = "Great Royal Wife, Tiy, justified (?)."
Hatshepsut
Before taking the throne she was known as:
Hm.t nsw = Great Royal Wife
Hmt nTr nt imn = God’s Wife of Amun
Drt nTr nt imn = God’s Hand of Amun
nsw sA.t = King’s Daughter
nsw sn.t = King’s Sister
Hatshepsut's full Royal Titulary once she took the throne was:
Hr wsrt-kAw = Horus, Powerful of Kas
wDAt-rnpwt = Two Ladies Flourishing of Years
Hr nbw nTrt-xaw = Golden Horus, Goddess of Appearances
nsw-bi.tj (mAa.t-kA-ra) = The King of Upper and Lower Egypt (Maatkare). Maatkare means "Maat is the Ka of Re (Truth is the Soul of Re)".
sA ra (Xnm.t-imn HA.t-Sps.wt) = the son of Re (Joined with Amun, Hatshepsut). Hatshepsut means "Foremost of the Noble Women".
Here there is an additional epithet of “Lord of the Offering Rite”:
Hr wsrt kAw nsw-bity nb ir-xt (mAat kA ra) = Horus, Strong of Kas, King of Upper and Lower Egypt, lord of the offering rite, Maatkare.
I’m sure there are other variations.
Nefertari
Hm.t nsw wr.t nb.t tA.wi nfritry = "Great Royal Wife, Mistress of the Two Lands, Nefertari (The Most Beautiful One of Them All)”
nfritry mrt (nt) mwt = “Nefertari, beloved of Mut”
Hmt-nsw wrt Hnwt Sma mHw nbt tAwy nfrt-iry mrt n mwt anx.ti = "The Great Royal Wife, the Sovereign of Upper and Lower Egypt, The Mistress of the Two Lands, Nefertari, Beloved of Mut, may she live"
Other epithets include:
nb.t tA.wi nbw = “Mistress of all Lands”
nfr.t Hr =“Beautiful of Face”
bnr.t mrw.t = “Sweet of love”
Hope these are of help to you! _________________

I am thinking about including some work on some titularies in my essay (mentioned in "homework help") and that has really given me some ideas. Thankyou so much. _________________ Thou dost appear beautiful on the horizon of heaven, oh living Amun, he who was the first to live. |
