Here is a picture of a page from my little grey book. Sadly I could only scan my older book, as I had left my latest one (with newer exercises and nicer handwriting) at school. This should give you an idea of what my hieroglyphic hand is like. Not fantastic, but legible.

(It may be the case that too many people have looked at the image and my banswidth has expired, so come back later if it doesn't work the first time)

I am anxious to see yours, Maatkara, as soon as this new scanner comes. Anyone else is welcome to post.

ehm...ok Psus...since I'm definitly NOT ABLE to add images, I've added one page of mine on my blog on the italian site, so cick on the blog, look for the blog of maatkara, open it. On your right you'll have a list and at bottom of it you have to open "Egitto nozze", there you'll have few pictures of mine and among them there is also my page of hieroglyphs.....but...BEWARE! To win the price you have to tell me what's that about!!! Laughing

P.s. it would be better if one of you, with so much patience can dedicate half his life to me to teach me how to add images on the site!!! Laughing

Oh Foremost of Noble Woman,

In order to add images to this site they have to be loaded already on a web page, as you have already done.

Once you have the page with the image open in your web browser, simply right click on the image. Then click 'properties' on the bottom of the window. This opens the properties window. Highlight Address (URL) and right click. Select 'copy'(or Ctrl-c).

ex. http://blog.egittologia.net/egittoblog//images/blog_egittologia_net/maatkara/149/r_hatshepsut.jpg

When you are posting a reply here right click and select paste (or Ctrl-v). Once the address is pasted highlight it and then clcik on the 'Img' button on the top of the reply window ( or just type in BBcode tags "[img] url [/img]" before and after the URL).

ex.

ps. I hope you don't mind that I posted one of your pics for an example!

...Indeed I wish to thank you for the explanation....this is what I did to get the address of the webpage that contains the photo, but then I do something wrong, because only the address appears in my post, as you can probably see....

Neb-i..can you use your e-mail, now? i wish to show you some writings....

Psus, ahve you seen the writings I added on my blog?..'cause I wish to take them out of it....and also I want to know if get an headache ....it's terrible, isn't it?

The address you posted is not a image file. it is a .aspx file (?) and would not appear as an image if you used the BBcode tags. But if you open that page and right click on the image, click properties, copy the URL with the .jpg suffix, you can paste it here and use the Img tags in front and behind the URL and it will appear!

By the way, I just checkd my email and didn't see anything from you. Did you send something?

I did take a look at the image of your writings you were asking Psus about. I'm sure Psus would agree, don't worry about it looking a mess. I guarantee Psus has pages upon pages like this, as do I. We are trying to learn an ancient language, one that has been dead for over 2000 years! We are allowed to make messes and notes all over as long as we are attemtping to learn.
