It's been a while since the first post, and that Yahoo link is dead. Here's a link to the IMDB page for King Tut. Still no actors mentioned yet.

Oh, here's a hilarious quote from the SF Examiner, from a January article:
(Trust or don't trust, it's from San Francisco!)

"Hordes of people from all over the world are expected to descend on Santa Maria this week to show support for Michael Jackson as he's arraigned on child molestation charges. ... Did you know that Jackson is obsessed with King Tut, the Egyptian boy king? ... When I was in Hollywood the other day, I learned that Jackson had insisted on a private meeting with director Roland Emmerich, who once expressed an interest in portraying the life of King Tutankhamun on the screen. "I'll do anything to play King Tut," Jackson reportedly told Emmerich. Sensing the director's shock at how his face had been ravaged by plastic surgeries, he added, "I'll even wear appliances." Jackson was apparently referring to where his nose had once been. Tut, tut. ... Jackson also said he's getting acting lessons from his friends, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando ... Hooray for Hollywood. ... "

if MJ plays King Tut, I not only will scream and yell at the top of my lungs "WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?!" But I will also NEVER see the movie and strap myself to a wall if anyone tries to make me see it.

Tutankhamun died before he was 20. Jackson is way into his forties, twice the age of the king! I wonder though where could we find an actor to play Akhenaten? We need an insane, identity seeking person whose sex is quite ambigous. Where could we find one of those?
Hmmmmmmmm
I wonder.

You'll go see that but not one with a gay sex scene?

Good point there PharaohKel. I am English so of course half the men here are gay! lol, well according to you Americans! So come on. You would see Jacko play Tutankhamun (when he should be Akhenaten) but you wouldn't see Farrell playing the worlds greatest conqueror because he kisses another boy? hmmmmmmmmm.

I guess so, but it is all in the name of acting! Apparently Brad Pitt was originally offered the part of his gay lover. Now imagine that one!!!

OMG, can you imagine the uproar in the cinema as Brad leans in close! Pitt turned the role down though because he didn't want to play a gay guy, his wife was jealous more like! Very Happy

Cool I'm sure if Jackson was needed in the movie he could have a surgery to meet the the part. Rolling Eyes Just playing I am sure that would not happen.Or would it!!
