Anyone know the difference of this? Every site i go to they have the same eye with different stories on each. Also ive seen two different vesrions of what the eye is supposed to look like and im not sure wich is the real one or is both a real version. Ive left two links of the different versions. Can someone please help

They are really the same version but in reverse, albeit with slight artistic difference. Unlike English, hieroglyphic signs are not just read from left to right, but also right to left. If you see anything with hieroglyphs on them you know which way to read by the way the people or animal representations are facing.
The eye is used to signify different fractions 1/64 1/32 1/16 1/8 1/4 1/2, and each part of the eye can be broken up and relates to one of these fractions. The Egyptians always used fractions of 1/N so their notation is made up of integers and there inverses.

why is it when someone writes a book or theres something to do with ancient egypt there is the eye of horus or ra is always used as an image.  |
