His tomb was found in EGYPT, which is in AFRICA. It was found in the Valley of the Kings, where the Ancient Egyptians dug tombs for their Pharaohs, or Kings. It's actoss the river from Luxor, which, in ancient times, used to be called Thebes.

Actually, Tutankhamen's tomb was found across the river from Thebes - or Luxor, as it is called today- In the valley of the Kings. The Valley of the kings is more that 600 miles from Cairo. across the river from Cairo is the Giza nercropolis, which is where the great pyramid is located, along with the two smaller ones that stand next to it, and caountless mastabas from the early dynasties.
