Well, because Egypt's tombs were robbed by grave robbers, and Tut's tomb was left intact. Also, the media likes to use "Tut's Curse" a lot. _________________

And all the beautiful artifacts in Tut's tomb, and the fact that he ruled after the heretic Akhenaten. _________________

One reason Tutakhamun’s tomb is so amazing is because he was a minor ruler, he was young when he took the throne and young when he died. He really did not have much time to accomplish the things Rameses 2 or Thutmose 3 or acquired their wealth. Tutakhamun’s small tomb was filled fine linens and with beautiful objects made of gold. All the other kings’ tomb had been plundered in antiquity, the discovery of Tutakhamun’s intact tomb, which looked pretty much the same as it was left on the day of his burial, gives the researchers a good idea what the items were like that field the huge tombs of Ramese 2 or Thutmose 3 must have held. _________________ Sitamun |
