I have noticed different people spelling the names of Pharaoh's
and Queens differently. Why? The correct spelling for Tut's Queen is Ankhesenamun. The word for the symbol for life is Ankh. Yet I see it mispelled. I get my names out of the proper Egyptian books. It's not a big issue, I was just wondering why. |

Since the egyptian writing system does not tie up exactly with ours there is some room for variation.
I think versions like Cheops or Ozymandias for User maat re - Ramesses II comes from when we only had the Greek verions of the names of Pharohs |
