Just seen a reference to this book -

Does anyone have any comments?
Or about any other books?

The "Seventy Mysteries..." has beautiful photos, but not very much in the way of any new information. Don't get me wrong--it's really a very nice book, and it postulates some interesting theories. But it's main fault, IMHO, is that it draws few conclusions from its theories.

Right now, I'm in the middle of Kent Weeks' "Lost Tomb". It's not full of page after page of boring details, but is a very readable, enjoyable book. It's not only a history of KV5, but also a short personal view of Weeks' dedication as an Egyptologist.

Are you looking for works on Egypt, or fictional historical novels?

I really enjoyed The Seventy Great Mysteries of Ancient Egypt, by Bill Manley. Cool

Currently reading The Lost Tomb, by Kent Weeks, like Osiris (for the third time, no less!). Laughing

A really good and informative book is "Irish Origins of Civilization" by Michael Tsarion This is a two volume work; about 1200 pages.
Actually it is mostly about Egypt.
The Iris get worked in by the theory that 12,500 years ago or so when ther was an Earthly catclysm and Atlantis sank the survivors went Eastward. One of the places they went was to Egypt. And thus civilization came suddenly to Egypt and possibly they built the pyramids.

They brought with them their religion - Druidism. This was their form of sun worship, which morphed into what we know as the sun worshipping religions of Egypt.
From here we get the many blonde and red haired mummies.
