Hello, I'm Mutnodjmet. I just registered and am especially interested in the queens of Egypt, in addition to the mythology of all ancient civilizations. I find it interesting how much power many ancient Egyptian women apparently yielded, considering that in Greece and present-day Turkey, women were usually kept out of the way and out of political, not to mention financial and military, affairs.
I don't consider myself an expert on much of this (any more than anyone who could access the Internet and all its occasionally disagreeing wells of information does) but I am eager to learn more about Ancient Egypt. _________________ Mutnodjmet |

| Did they have much influence - only a few female rulers and apart from Hatshepsut they seem to take power when things are falling apart |
