I'm writing a paper on Ancient Egypt and it's effect on modern architecture. I need some ideas. The pyramids have inspired a Las Vegas casino The Luxor, A sports complex at Memphis Tennessee, and The Lourve's glass entranceway. Obelisks design inspired the design of the washington monument and can be found courtyards and gardens of today. Egyptian motif can be found pretty much everywhere.
Any ideas or input
please help! _________________ egyptianscribe

There is ashopping mall somewhere in England whoch is Egyptian themed with a wall with what looks like an acurate representation of a temple wall scene but 1 of the gods has an electic drill!
Does anyone know where it is? |

The Trafford Centre in Manchester, also has a ancient Egyptian designed section that looks like temple walls. It's in the food court. _________________ -Indeed, I am alive today; tomorrow is in god's hands-

Thanks for the info.
The Trafford Center sounds neat. Thanks for the link Daughter_Of_Seti.
Toilets with hieroglyphics on the side. I don't yet have one of those.
Maybe I'll paint my bathroom next.
The links and info really helped, so Thanks alot. Going to be an interesting paper. But now I have more places I want to see!
Thanks again everybody _________________ egyptianscribe

You're welcome. The decoations at the toilets was very interesting! But what's even more funny is they even have coke machines with scenes from the tomb of Nefertari on them. _________________ -Indeed, I am alive today; tomorrow is in god's hands-

Now I really need to see this place.
I wouldn't mind having a Coke machine with tomb scenes
but my house is already overflowing with Egyptian furniture, kic-nacks and misc. stuff.
Maybe I can find an Egyptian refigerator somewhere or paint one myself!
The Trafford Center is another place I have to add to my places of sites to see. I'm afraid that list is getting rather long.
My paper made an A+ due to its ususal nature.
I appreciate the knowledge ya'll shared with me.
I just now have the urge to paint more things. _________________ egyptianscribe

Hey, that would actually probably look really good!
The scene that was used on the coke machines was this one from the tomb of Nefertari:

And the replica temple walls looked like they were based on those at Abu Simbel:

There are many legends about the destruction of the great library in Alexandria 2000 years ago, but much less historical fact about the building itself has survived. Three libraries may have coexisted in the ancient city, but scant data remains about their location, layout, holdings, organization, administration, or physical structure.,..... _________________ guild wars 2 gold |
