There has been an announcement that the will be DNA tests on the fetuses to see if they are related to Tut. Unlike CSI it will take some time.

Oh, no...not again!! Not this again! Won't the fetuses be destroyed by doing so?! I'm really fearing the worst here, they got lucky with Tut-and he's already falling apart! _________________

With modern DNA they can get results from microscopic amounts. I do not know about ancient degraded DNA.

Just seen a report that the fetuses are twins despite the size difference.

The size difference is explained as one of the twins being miscarried earlier than the other. I didn't know it was possible for one twin to be miscarried and the other to survive, but I read an article that stated it could happen.

Apparently a problem with twins is where they share a placenta one twin can get more than its share of the nutriants so the other is stunted.

The possibility of them being twins has not been proved. It was only speculation. I would think the results would not necessarily be accurate anyway, considering the contamination possibilities. They haven't exactly been looked after, have they |

The article I saw did say 'probably'. It was by Meredith F. Small , an anthropologist at Cornell University
