Apparently Prince Khnumhotep's tomb at Beni Hasan (XIIth dynasty) has the first ever painting of someone fishing with a rod and line.
Does anyone know about Egyptian angling or know where there is a reproduction of the scene.

the trouble with Khnumhotep is that there is a 5th dynasty tomb of the same name that shows what looks like 2 gay egyptian men hugging & kissing. People have become fixatedon the image as if they need proof that homosexuality wasn't invented in the 20th cent
